All the main Greek banks i.e National Bank of Greece, Alpha Bank, Eurobank, Piraeus Bank, etc. have branches and ATM machines on the island. Banks are open Monday to Thursday (08.00 – 14.30) – Friday (08.00 – 14.00).

Visitors going to the Bank to exchange money into Euros or to cash travellers cheques must remember to have their international passport with them. Since January 1st 2000, Greece has adopted the Euro as its national currency.
