Kalathos beach is covered in fine Sand and tiny little pebbles. It is a fantastic place to get away from the crowds of some of Rhodes most popular beaches as it stretches along for more than 4 kilometers.

The water is warm and clear and free of seaweed. Parts of the beach have areas where you will find a little taverna or shop, other parts have nothing and are completely quiet. It all depends what you are after. This is somewhat of a secret among the locals and travelers that know about this place, because even in the busiest time of the high season you will find a place of your own here.

If you decide to stay in Kalathos town, you will find a quaint little village with everything you need. There are parasols and sunbeds available and the town itself had quite a few good places to eat. While this is not a party town like some of the other beaches on the island, you will have no trouble finding a bit of entertainment in the local bars and cafes in the evenings.
