KASOS
ABOUT
Kasos is the southernmost island of the Dodecanese complex, between Karpathos and Crete. It extends over a surface of 662km and numbers 990 inhabitants. The overall length of the coastline is 59km and the higher mountain peaks are Prionas (601m), Periolas (504m) and Korakas (494m). The other mountains of the island are Sysfi, Troulles, Domata, Ai Giorgis and Myrto.
The island’s capital is Fri. There are some other settlements like Agia Marina, Poli, Panagia, Emporios and Arvanitochori. They extend over a small, open basin at the north which is enclosed by steep low mounds to the south. The rocky shores form coasts suitable for swimming. You will find beautiful beaches on the island Armathia.
