AGATHI BEACH

Anchor 1
ABOUT

Until a few years ago, Agathi was a closely guarded travelers secret. But once word got ut, it has become a lot more popular. It is easy to see why.

Agathi beach has shimmering golden sand and pristine crystal clear waters. It is shallow for quite a ways out into the sea, making it a safe place to take kids swimming. It is located not far from the resort town of Haraki and the fantastic Feraklos Castle, actually within walking distance, though it is better to drive as the road can be a bit rough.

While it is not completely overcrowded yet, it has become much more popular in recent years and as a result some days it can seem a little full. It still has a very laid back Greek island feel to it though and there are a couple of tavernas that serve great food and offer a place to get out of the sun for a bit. You can also rent umbrellas and sun lounge chairs for a few Euro. At the northern end of the beach you will find a little cave which is a great place to set up for an evening picnic and have a light a campfire in the moonlight.
