HARAKI BEACH

Anchor 1
ABOUT

Haraki is a lovely little town off the main road that runs between Lindos and Rhodes town. In summer, the promenade along the beach is filled with people strolling up and down enjoying the sun set. On one end are loads of little cafes, tavernas and shops and at the other, a fantastic ruined castle that overlooks the town. Most of the accommodation here is of the self catering apartment type, which is great for longer stays

Haraki beach (charaki beach) is mostly sand, with occasional pebble patches, but for the most part you can find a soft warm spot to put your beach blanket down. The area by the castle is best. The water is clear and great for snorkeling.

If you climb up over the castle (about a 15 minute walk) there is another lovely little beach on the other side called Agathi, which has smooth soft sand and a gently sloping entry into the water, making it perfect for families with young children. Haraki is a great place to go if you want to get away from the huge summer beach crowds, but still want all the amenities of a beach community.
