KATO PETRES BEACH

Anchor 1
ABOUT

Hidden away down a little paved path is the stunning little Kato Petres beach. Here you won’t find sun beds or parasols, you won’t see merchants trying to sell you anything. What you will find is a romantic little beach, hidden away from the busy holiday resorts that are all around you. It is not a long walk, but it feels like it is a million miles away. The island of Rhodes has some fantastic walks in nature, and one of the best is right here.

The trail begins at the southern end of the beach Psaropoula at the entrance to the city of Rhodes town and ends at the northern end of the bay of Ialysos where the Kritika village starts. While the trail is well organised, with little places to sit and watch the sea and steps leading down to the beach areas, you won’t find a taverna here or even a little beach bar. But this is exactly the reason some people seek this place out. The walk alone is worth it, even if you don’t plan on going for a swim.
