South of Lindos is Kokkinogia beach, a resort beach that is clean and well organised. There is a huge range of accommodation here, with lots of self catering options too. Close by the beach there is both cars and bikes available for rent. It is not a huge beach, but big enough for the crowd that stays in the area. It is mostly small pebbles and some sand, but you can hire sun beds and parasols for just a few Euros.

There are lots of great tavernas in the area, and shops where you can pick u daily necessities. There are also kayaks to rent and other water sports available. The water here is clear and clean, with a swimming area that is well marked, making it safe for families with kids. The wind on this side of the island is calm, unlike the East, so this is not a place for windsurfing.
