About half way between Rhodes town and Lindos is the beach at Kolymbia. It is a relatively new beach resort, but has been built up in such a way that it retains it Greek charm. Kolymbia beach is a fine and smooth sand, with water that is pristine and crystal clear.

 

You can hire sun beds if you want but the sand here is quite comfortable. On hot summer days though, it is probably worth getting an umbrella.This is a resort beach, very popular with Germans.

 

It doesn’t get quite as loud and rowdy as some of the other resorts, so if you want something more laid back that still offers everything, then this is the place. It’s a fine beach with lots of fantastic choices of resorts to stay in. The road leading up to the beach is lined with eucalyptus trees and is a great place to go for a bike ride.
