KREMASTI BEACH

Anchor 1
ABOUT

Kremasti beach is just a little ways out from Rhodes Town, in the northwestern part of the island. It’s a beautiful long beach of sand and pebbles with lots of trees and lent of shade. The water is crystal clear and blue, but the beach drops of fast and get deep quite quickly making it unsuitable for families with small children.

There are quite a few areas along this long stretch of beach where you can hire sun beds and parasols for just a few euros. This beach never gets quite as crowded as some of Rhodes town’s other local beaches. Kremasti is popular with the windsurfer and kitesurfer crowd due to the constant breeze theta blows offshore.

If you are interested in trying this sport, you can rent gear and get lessons on the beach. All along the beach you will find restaurants and tavernas to have lunch or an afternoon snack. The centre of the village is full of outdoor cafes, shops and restaurants as well as the lovely Panagia Katholiki. One of the largest churches in Rhodes.
