The Greek island of Patmos is one of the Dodecanese group of islands and lies in the Aegean Sea, simply off the west bank of Turkey. Skala is the port town on the island and is likewise the area of a considerable lot of the most well known attractions. Toward the north of Skala is Meloi Beach with is pleasant and is shaded by trees. In the town of Hora there is the Monastery of St. John which is a famous site similar to the Cave of Apocalypse which is thought to have been the sacrosanct cavern where Saint Ioannis heard the voice of God and composed the Apocalypse. In the cavern guests can see the cross that was engraved by Saint Ioannis alongside three little splits in the stone through which the voice of God came, symbolizing the Holy Trinity. The island is likewise referenced in the Book of Revelation in the Bible where it expresses that its writer, John, was on Patmos when he was given (and recorded) a dream from Jesus.
