A triathlon (3 sports) will take place on Sunday the 1st of June, 2014 at 10am on the island of Rhodes.
In details the sports will be:
Swimming of 1.5km
Cycling of 40km
Running of 10km
The sports total distance is 51.5km, whereas the sports competition will be conducted in line (one sport after the other)! Pefkos Olympic Distance Triathlon (the name of the event) will take place in Pefkos resort, just 7km southern of Lindos and approx 55km south of Rhodes Town. The starting area, has been agreed to be Lee Beach, the central beach of Pefkos.
This great joint organised sports event is the result of the collaboration of the Municipal Organisation Culture & Sport Rhodes ( DOPAR ) and the Rhodes Island Games Organisation with the support and assistance of the triathlon club Apollon Rhodes.
Please note this venue has no league character.
