Increased by a percentage 23.69 % were foreign tourist arrivals in April 2014 compared to April 2013, according to statistics by the Civil Aviation ( CAA ), which were released yesterday. Domestic passenger traffic , was also increased due to the Easter holidays against to both April 2013 and April 2012 . Specifically by a percentage of 12.63 % compared to April 2013 and 3.06 % compared to April , 2012. The month of April 2014, 59.386 foreign tourists arrived at Rhodes International Airport «Diagoras», against 48.012 in April 2013!
Overall arrived at the airport Rhodes 87538 visitors in April 2014 against 72.970 in April 2013 (an increase of 19.96 % this year ). At the same time departed from the airport as Rhodes 57,655 visitors , against 45,270 in April 2013 (an increase of 27.36 % this year ). Again, according to the statistics of the CAA handled the whole month of April 2014 the airport Rhodes 145,193 visitors , compared to 118,240 in April 2013 (up 22.80 % ).
The total passenger throughput was done with 1,792 flights in April 2014 compared to 1,770 flights in April 2013. In the first position of the arrivals were found in April 2014, Israeli tourists ( 8,152 ) , followed by the UK ( 7,950 ) , France ( 7,606 ) , Germans ( 5,772 ) , Russians ( 4,912 ) and Swedes ( 4,811 ) !
