The best so far, Rhodes Marathon, is about to take place in less than one month, in the magnificent island of Knights, Rhodes.
The annual successful sports event is expected to be a lot more organized and larger, with much more publicity, participants and sponsors, whereas a great option to combine holidays with sports, for those looking to visit our island as part of a long weekend (1st of May = bank holiday in most of the places globally)!
Rhodes Marathon, being organized under the supervision and support of the National Organization of Tourism, the District of South Aegean Islands, as long as local tourism and social committees.
The motto this year is one : "Run for Tourism", in the aim of extending the tourism season of Rhodes to 365 days!
Executives from the ministry of Tourism, as well as the ministrant herself, will be participating.
Its important to highlight the fact, that Rhodes Marathon is about to be twinned with the one taking place in Larnaca / Cyprus, due to lots of similarities between them.
The financial prizes many, which make the competition even more interesting, although the real meaning and reward is not the money, but the aim and purpose itself!
Big companies, sponsoring Rhodes Marathon, such as Adidas, Aegean Airlines, Blue Star Ferries and more, offering freebies and great discounts, whereas there are a lot more smaller national and local ones supporting greatly this venue.
Except for Marathon, other competitions taking place such as Half - Marathon, 10km and 5km racing, as long as 1km racing for our small friends.
