Dutch will be the first tourists to open the tourist season this year in Rhodes, according to at least the present data available for the Diagoras International Airport of Rhodes.
The flight will be operated by Corendon Airlines, coming from Maastricht and expected to be landing at 07.15, on Sunday the 31st of March.
It is worth noting that Dutch tourists recorded an increase of 16.7% last year, as 87,086 visited Rhodes compared to 74,577 in 2017, after the recovery of tourism from that country.
Between April 11 and April 14, the first mass arrivals of tourists in Rhodes Island is expected, due to the Catholic Easter holiday on the 21st of the month.
There is always a chance though, that first flights might arrive even earlier by some of the island's main markets (such as UK / Germany etc). This is something we will know nearer the time (later in February).
